This programme is conducted in Chinese, which makes it easier for students like me who may not be particularly strong in language skills to understand the course content. Besides sports training subjects, what makes this programme unique is its emphasis on administrative management courses, such as Human Resources Management. These courses are beneficial for our future career development as sports industry administrators.

Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Sports Management

As a student from the Mainland, coming to Hong Kong to study this sports programme give me a new perspective and experience. The programme content is comprehensive and in-depth, covering areas that I have never been exposed to before. It not only expanded my academic knowledge, but also covered internship and practical topics. In particular, I was deeply impressed by the diversity of teaching methods in Hong Kong. Teachers encouraged independent thinking and active participation in class. Through group discussions and case analysis, they deeply explored the practical applications behind the theory, which gave me a deeper understanding in sports-related industry in Hong Kong.

TANG Yu Man Lear
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Sports Management

My 4-year study journey has undoubtedly been an invaluable opportunity for deepening and enhancing my expertise as a long-time full-time coach. In terms of coaching curriculum, I gained in-depth knowledge of sports psychology and physiology, enabling me to better understand athletes' mental states and physical differences. This theoretical knowledge has helped me adopt more targeted teaching approaches in practical coaching, tailoring my methods to each athlete's unique characteristics.

The sports management program covered crucial areas including finance, human resources, and facility management. I learned how to effectively allocate and utilize resources, complemented by quality internship opportunities provided by the school, which helped bridge theory with practice. These experiences and professional knowledge have enhanced my organizational and decision-making capabilities, paving the way for a broader career path where I can apply my skills in the sports management field.

TO Man Hei, Marcus

Graduate of Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Sports Management

HKCT tutors can arrange suitable training according to the talents and personalities of different students. In just one year, I have gained experience in participating in large-scale sports events and event planning twice, and I am fortunate to be on the front line of the "Hong Kong Masters 2022" and apply the knowledge about risk management and legal aspects of sports activities learned in the classroom to do a good job in the management of large-scale events. In addition, in the " Olympism Carnival" event, there is more room for performance and participation in different tasks including naming the event, designing posters and division of labor, etc.
