Welcome to the website of Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT).

On this website, you may find a cornucopia of programmes and services offered by Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT), including its higher education, further education, academic researches and student services.

Here, you would discover HKCT's uniqueness as an institution of higher and further education in apparent paradoxes: charitable in nature yet comparable to commercial standards in professional qualities; a history of more than half a century yet modern and innovative provisions in vibrant agility; her programmes highly diversified in an extensive range while intensively fit and lead in respective niches; an independent institution which is self-funded but striving to enhance teaching and learning facilities with utmost resources.  HKCT is a wild subtle pearl--you will find it exquisite and genuine if you have a personal touch on it!

You may keep your fingers on HKCT's pulse here and keep track of her milestones advocating Hong Kong's progression in line with the territory's historical development over times.  HKCT is not a market follower but pioneer of new eras.  For instance, we promoted preparatory programmes for professional examinations which offered an alternative to the mainstream higher education thirty years ago.  We were one of the very pioneers for the retraining courses (currently the "ERB Manpower Development Scheme" courses) back in 1992. We were also one among the first-batch institutions offering higher diploma programmes accredited by the then Hong Kong Council of Academic Accreditation (now the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications) in 2001. We persisted in providing evening English courses and propelled the Government to subsidising evening schools for working adults in 2003.  We established HKCT Institute of Higher Education (CTIHE) in 2014 to offer the first-ever degree programme in Hong Kong on Social Development, “Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Social Development Studies” which nurtures students with broad theoretical foundation and practical skills to help Hong Kong tackle existing issues related to social development.

We are blessed to witness a long-term advancement in our campus and learning environment counting on our best effort over the past five years in addition to leveraging government policies and the support from the wide public.  We take pride to set up high-quality facilities that make our specific disciplines-based campuses conducive to learning and practising.  Besides the existing HKCT Homantin Campus and HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan Campus, we are honoured to be granted by the Government another neighbouring campus in Ma On Shan, which is now named as the “HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus”.

We invite you to make use of this online platform to become acquainted with HKCT.  Hope you enjoy this online journey with us.  Better still, we invite you to join our family to experience what we have well prepared for you.
