    The BSc (Hons) Building Surveying, conferred by the Leeds Beckett University, UK, is designed for those who want to become professional building surveyor. You will learn a wide range property inspection skill, the knowledge to understand critical areas of design, law, related management and technology application. It will enable you to look at a building and see its potential, create plans and consider practical aspects of its use and sustainability.

  • Entry Requirements

    1. Applicants should be holders of Higher Diploma in Building Technology awarded by HKCT with relevant industrial experience; or

    2. Applicants should be holders of Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Building Surveying, Surveying or related disciplines with relevant industrial experience.

    3. Applicants should possess English proficiency level up to IELTS 6 or equivalent or a pass in HKCT English Test or equivalent.

    4. Applicants who do not satisfy the entry requirement of the above may be admitted at the discretion of the University.

  • Tuition Fees

    HK$72,000 in four instalments

    Administration Fee: HK$1,500 (Upon 1st installment)

  • Tuition Fees Assistance

    Early Bird Discount

    • Application should be submitted on or before 31 July (for Sep intake)
    • The Early Bird Discount $2,000 will be made in the last installment of tuition fee payment

     

    HKCT Alumni Fee Reduction

    • HKCT former student who has completed a one year programme or above is eligible
    • 5% of total tuition fee reduction (max $1,000) will be made in the last installment of tuition fee payment
  • Course Structure

    Students have to complete 6 taught modules and a dissertation, the standard length of study is 15 months.  Students must complete" Construction Contracts" & "Interdisciplinary Projects" before admit to other modules.

    Each taught module consists of face-to-face lecturers and tutorials.

Professional Qualification

This programme will seek accreditation from related professional institutions include Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

 

This programme is accredited by Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), graduates who fulfil specified education and professional development requirements are eligible to apply for Membership of CABE.
