HKCT and CSD joined hands to help students understand correctional work
The Correctional Services Department (CSD) held an experience and recruitment day yesterday (May 26). This is the second consecutive year that CSD invited HKCT to provide venue and facilities for the event. About 80% of the participants were HKCT DAE students in Disciplinary Forces programmes.
CSD has been enhancing students' understanding of correctional work through various experiential activities to attract more local higher education students who are willing to serve society to join the correctional team. This experience and recruitment day allowed participants to personally experience the "physical fitness test" and "group interview" required for applying for the position of Assistant Officer II, deepening their understanding of the selection process and requirements for correctional personnel.
Furthermore, CSD arranged HKCT Alumnus who has already been employed as Assistant Officer II to share his experiences and tips for applying for the position with their younger peers. The students all expressed that they greatly benefited from this event and it significantly boosted their confidence in applying for the position.
