Programme Contents
The diploma programme will help students develop specific skills and methods fundamental to creativity and design processes of Visual Communication Design. As the course progresses, students will concentrate on the skills and develop confidence in their own ideas and creativity. Students will receive guidance on educational opportunities and help prepare a personal portfolio for job interviews which demonstrates students' creative skills and work performance

Programme Features

  • Professional Teaching Team: This programme is taught by a professional teaching team with extensive industry and teaching experience in higher education
  • Programme Content: More than 90% of the programme content is art and design and students are not required to study Chinese Language and Mathematics. Programme focuses on training of creative productions and digital media design skills
  • Software at Industrial Level: The programme includes different professional software such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects
  • Career Oriented and No Examinations: The programme is career-oriented which emphasises practical and applied learning. Students are assessed by professional practice and project
  • Diverse Opportunities: Students have opportunities to apply their creativity in community projects
  • Membership Recognition: Students are eligible to apply for student membership of Hong Kong Design Association (HKDA)

JKE has won over 30 local and international design awards. He and his team have done over 800 design projects and over 350 branding projects. Some of the clients in recent years are Disney, Nike, Leica, Canon, IKEA, CASETIFY, Facesss, OLAY, DBS, ZENYUM, Pampers, Rimmel London, K-11, TWINS, Tsui Wah, GEOX, Hang Heung, Fox TV and BMW, etc.

Graduation Path

Graduates can apply for a $10,000 Internal Student Articulation Scholarship to further study in the Higher Diploma in Creative Design and Media, followed by a bachelor degree in related disciplines or join the field of creative industry as junior designer related to graphic design, event production and window display.

Internship

The programme offers a wide range of practical experiences,opportunities and participation in relevant life projects. Students may also have practicum opportunities in graphic design and production firms or relevant organizations. Over15 organisations provide practicum opportunities to students.
