LO Cheuk Hei Angel
Higher Diploma in Language and Corporate Communication (Japanese)

I am Lo Cheuk Hei, Angel, a graduate of Higher Diploma in Language and Corporate Communication (Japanese) this year. It is my honor to be the student representative and sharing with you my experiences in HKCT. I entered HKCT campus with a dream and prepared to embark on a new life journey. Today, I finally graduate and affirm the achievement of my hard work. If there is a chance to choose again, I will still choose HKCT.

First of all, I would like to thank teachers from the Higher Diploma programme for their caring. They will never give up on us and even take the initiative to understand the difficulties we encounter. Teachers serve as a role model, teach us how to deal with others and to be a person who contributes to society. During the epidemic, the school implemented online teaching in short time, luckily teachers were very tolerant of us, no matter how we performed, they taught us patiently and open up our door to knowledge. Teachers were also willing to share their experiences to make us more familiar with what we have learned in classes.

I also want to thank the mentors and predecessors in the Department of Student Development. They organized different types of extracurricular activities, such as the Japanese class held before, so that I can participate in designing the class with classmates. Not only do I learn some interesting Japanese slang, but I can also share what I have learned in the classroom with others. In addition, the Japanese exchange programme sponsored by Wai Yin Association allowed me to have a deep understanding of Japanese attitudes and etiquette in dealing with others which broadened my horizons. At the same time, I made good friends with a group of peers, enriching my life experience. I would also like to thank to the various departments and units of HKCT, especially for their assistance under the turbulence in the past year, which made it possible for us to continue our study and graduate successfully today. I am fortunate to be here to share my experiences with you, all these gave me a great sense of belonging to HKCT.

On top of that, I certainly do not forget to thank my classmates. In school, we are like brothers and sisters who have not only established a deep friendship but also learned to respect, accept, love and tolerate between us over the years. Separation is coming soon. I will definitely remember the years that I walked with you and treasured the precious friendship.

Finally, I also want to take this opportunity to thank myself. Although there is no equal sign between your effort and payoff, your gain necessarily reaps from your pain. Moreover, it is necessary to continue to work with great fortitude to achieve ideal results. Over the years, I took every class and did every homework seriously, to compensate for my weaknesses with diligence and perseverance. Whenever I encountered a problem, I consulted teacher or classmates' advices. I am grateful that my result proves that my hard work has been affirmed and praised by the college.

The care of teachers, the friendship among classmates, all the ups and downs, consolidated into today's result. Today, our college life is about to complete while this full stop will turn into a key to higher level. In the future, I will apply the knowledge I have learned at HKCT to my future work or study, to open a new chapter in my life. I promise to continue to work hard to live up to the expectations of teachers.

Once again, on behalf of the graduating students, I would like to thank for your cultivation and all these will become valuable experiences in our life. Looking back at every scene in the college, all the memory, laughter and tear, is still fresh and far beyond description by words.

Difficulties are the checkpoints in life while growth is the ultimate meaning of life. I hope all of you can encounter challenges actively and contribute to society. I wish all graduates a bright future and a wonderful life. Thank you.
