Application and Enrolment

You can submit your application through one of the channels below.

  1. HKCT Online Enrolment and Payment System at
    www.hkct.edu.hk/uchoice

  2. Visiting the General Office of the HKCT campuses. Addresses:
    G/F, HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus, 2 On Shing Street, Ma On Shan, Shatin, New Territories /
    G/F, HKCT Mong Kok East Campus, 14 Princess Margaret Road, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon
    (Please seal the application form and all related documents in an envelope and indicate “Programme Application to Registry” on the envelope.)
Step 1
Fill in the online application form and pay an application fee via 'HKCT Online Enrolment and Payment System' or visit HKCT campus in person.
Step 2
HKCT may ask you to attend an interview and/or a written test. Relevant applicants will be notified by phone call or e-mail in advance. Second Interview may be arranged if necessary.
Step 3
Interview result will be issued through e-mail after interview. If you pass the interview, you will receive a “Conditional Offer Letter” or “Acceptance Offer Letter”.
Step 4
You are required to achieve the requirements listed on the offer letter, complete the registration and tuition fee payment before deadlines to reserve the study place.
  1. Every applicant has to pay an application fee (HK$150) in order to proceed the further application procedures.
  2. Whether admission interview is arranged or the application is successful, application fee is non-refundable or non-transferable.
  3. Application Fee can be settled by the following methods:
    1. Online Payment (via HKCT Online Enrolment and Payment System)
      Supporting Credit Card (Visa / Master / UnionPay), FPS, BoC Pay, AlipayHK, Alipay and WeChat Pay 

    2. Crossed Cheque (By Mail or In Person at the HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus / HKCT Mong Kok East Campus)
      Crossed cheque should be made payable to ‘HONG KONG COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY’. On the back of the cheque, please state the applicant's name, contact number and the programme name.

    3. EPS (At General Office of the HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus / HKCT Mong Kok East Campus) 

  1. For verification purposes, you will be required to present the original of all supporting documents at the time of registration. Failure to do so may lead to nullification of your offer.
  2. Your application will be considered based on your programme choices, academic qualifications, interview performance, conduct at school and written test (if applicable) as well as study places available. HKCT reserves the right of cancellation of programme due to insufficient enrollment or special circumstances and the right of granting offer. Applicants will be notified accordingly.
  3. Please note the deadlines stated in the "Offer Letter" (including “Conditional Offer Letter” and “Acceptance Offer Letter”). If you cannot achieve the requirements listed on the "Offer Letter" before deadlines, the study place will be released to another qualified applicant.
  1. Current HKDSE Candidates who have been granted a conditional offer should bring along the “Conditional Offer Letter” with HKDSE result slip to claim a formal “Acceptance Offer Letter” in person at the specified campus on the day of HKDSE result announcement (17th July 2024) . For details, please refer to the “Conditional Offer Letter”. Upon verification of the fulfillment of the required condition(s) listed in the “Conditional Offer Letter”, HKCT will issue a formal “Acceptance Offer Letter”.
  2. The “Conditional Offer Letter” will be deemed invalid if the applicant does not claim the offer on or before HKDSE result announcement day and the study place will not be reserved for the applicant.
  1. The tuition fees are subject to final approval from Education Bureau.
  2. Applicant must pay the Deposit / 1st installment of tuition fee on or before the deadline stipulated in the Offer letter.
  3. Deposit / 1st installment of tuition fee can be settled by the following methods:
    1. Online Payment (via HKCT Online Enrolment and Payment System)
      Supporting Credit Card (Visa / Master / UnionPay), FPS, BoC Pay, AlipayHK, Alipay and WeChat Pay

    2. Crossed Cheque (By Mail or In Person at the HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus / HKCT Mong Kok East Campus
      Please refer to the attachment of offer letter for the crossed cheque of ‘payable to’. On the back of the cheque, please state the applicant's name, contact number and the programme name

    3. EPS (At General Office of the HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus / HKCT Mong Kok East Campus)

    4. Jetco ATM Payment
      Please go to ATM with [JET Payment Service] logo. Select [Bill Payment] > [By Merchant Code] > Enter merchant code [9277] > Enter [01] as Bill Type > Enter Billing Number (can be found in offer letter) > Enter payment amount. Please keep the receipt for consultation in the future

  1. The paid tuition fee is NOT refundable or transferable except for cancellation of the programme or admission eligibility cannot be achieved or acceptance of (i) UGC-funded full-time degree programme under JUPAS or (ii) undergraduate programme subsidised under Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) for current HKDSE candidates.
  2. In case a programme is cancelled, the applicant can apply for a refund of tuition fee by presenting the official receipt at General Office of a designated HKCT campus within one month after being notified. Refund will NOT be processed after the deadline.
  3. If the applicant paid the tuition fee, but ultimately the admission eligibility cannot be achieved, the applicant can apply for a refund of tuition fee by presenting the official receipt at General Office of a designated HKCT campus within one month after issuance of the result. Late submission or failure in presenting valid supporting documents would not be accepted.
  4. Tuition fee paid by credit card will be refunded through the respective credit card company. In case of special request on refund in the form of a crossed cheque, 3% of tuition fee will be charged as administrative fee and no objection can be raised.
  5. Current HKDSE candidates who have successfully obtained and accepted offers of (i) UGC-funded full-time degree programme under JUPAS or (ii) undergraduate programme subsidised under Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP), please come to HKCT campuses to apply for deposit refund before noon on 9th August 2024 (after JUPAS main round offer results), noon on 26th August 2024 (after JUPAS offer results for reconsideration of applications based on rechecking and remarking) or noon on 29th August 2024 (after JUPAS clearing round offer results). Application beyond the deadline will NOT be accepted. Full refund of the deposit will be provided AFTER the deduction of an administrative fee of HK$500.

HKCT is now offering Higher Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree programmes for mainland students. The programme content is diverse and practical to keep pacing market demand and social development.

  1. Phone call, SMS and e-mail will be the major communication channels between HKCT and you. You must provide accurate mobile phone number and an e-mail address. Please check your mailbox regularly as important announcements and Offer Letter will be issued through e-mail. Also, please ensure the setting of your mailbox not to block the e-mail from HKCT.
  2. Applicants who do not have the right of abode or the right to land in Hong Kong should obtain a visa or an entry permit to study in Hong Kong from the Immigration Department of the HKSAR Government before the semester commences; otherwise the study place will be cancelled or your registration will be nullified. Any fees paid will NOT be refunded.
    Applicants with conditional right of abode should provide valid documentary proof issued by the Immigration Department of the HKSAR Government; otherwise the study place will be cancelled or your registration will be nullified. Any fees paid will NOT be refunded. Applicants have to bear all the legal liabilities and HKCT reserves the right to seek all remedies available by law.
  3. If you will take the current HKDSE, HKCT reserves the right to collect your public examination results from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority.
