A student tested preliminary positive of COVID-19
On 24 January, a part-time HKCT student reported proactively to the College that (s)he was preliminarily positive of COVID-19 and the student last attended classes in Jordan Learning Centre on 9/F and 11/F on 19, 21, and 23 January and stayed in the public seating area for a short while.
Upon receiving the case report, HKCT reported the case to the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) immediately and arranged thorough disinfection of the venues. The student is now in isolation at home and waiting for further advice from the CHP. Internal notice was issued to related students and staff recommending voluntary COVID-testing.
The College will liaise proactively and closely with CHP on the case. Emotional supports are given to possible students, please contact the Department of Student Development if needed.
