HKCT has been awarded several awards in ERB Annual Prize Ceremony 2019-20
Every year, the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) recognizes trainees who have taken courses from the ERB and social partners including employers, training bodies and instructors who actively support employee retraining under the Manpower Development Scheme. This year, HKCT won the following awards from the ERB. It is recognized by the ERB for its contribution to training and employment assistance in the past year.
“ERB Outstanding Award for Course Development" ( This award has been awarded for 11 consecutive years since its establishment)
“ERB Outstanding Award for Promotion and Marketing" (This award has been awarded for 9 consecutive years since 2011)
“ERB Outstanding Award for Placement Services" (This award has been awarded for 8 consecutive years since 2012)

"ERB Outstanding Award for Instructors": Choy Shu-po
The trainees of HKCT School of Vocational Training, namely Sin Chun-kow and Ling Wee-young received the "ERB Outstanding Award for Trainees"2019-20 in recognition of their outstanding performance in personal development and career.
After completing the HKCT ERB’s Foundation Certificate in TTA Creative Industries (Interior Design) course, Sin Chun-kow started his career at 60 and engaged in graphic and packaging design. Knowing that he might not be capable of taking the course, Sin Chun-kow applied for HKCT’s interior design course to improve his practical skills. He was not afraid of hard work, and his unrelenting attitude was appreciated by the teacher.
Another trainee Ling Wee-young found that the purchasing he had been doing was already a sunset industry. Through his personal experiences of home renovation, he got to learn about interior design, which inspired his interest. Although his right eye had only 10% of vision, he still decided to apply for a number of interior design related courses, including “Foundation Certificate in TTA Creative Industries (Interior Design)" and "Certificate in Interior Design Application (Part-time)". He has been employed by a renovation company as an engineering assistant.
Yu Man-nor, who completed the HKCT ERB “Foundation Certificate in Assistant for Chinese Medical Clinic Training”, won the "ERB Merit Award for Trainees".
Our instructor Choy Shu-po, who taught the HKCT ERB “Foundation Certificate in Property Maintenance” and the “Foundation Certificate in Electrical Wireman Training (Intermediate Trade Test)”, received the "ERB Outstanding Award for Instructors". The award praises him for his excellent teaching philosophy and performance.
In addition, HKCT won the "ERB Outstanding Award for Course Development "the "ERB Outstanding Award for Promotion and Marketing "and the "ERB Outstanding Award for Placement Services" to commend HKCT for its active support to the ERB in the past year.
Among the employer organizations nominated by the HKCT, three were awarded the “ERB Excellence Award for Employers", fourteen were awarded the "ERB Outstanding Award for Employers", and twenty-three were awarded the "ERB Merit Award for Employers".
